Synopsis "The Sonja Henie skating magic, Sammy Kaye's Orchestra and the singing of Joan Merrill are high spots," (Variety) in this delightful romantic musical comedy featuring some of the most spectacular ice choreography ever filmed. Unaware of Icelandic customs, a flirtatious marine (John Payne) finds that his romantic sweet talk to a native beauty (Henie) is taken as a marriage proposal. Desperate to avoid the impending nuptials, he sends his navy buddy (Jack Oakie) to help him out of his predicament. But the sudden appearance of a jilted lover and an extraordinary mix-up leads the terrified marine straight into a matrimonial trap. [from Fox Video videotape sleeve, ©1993] |
